Birth and pregnancy are normal events in women’s lives that have incredible power to transform us into mothers, fathers, partners, siblings and families of many different shapes and sizes. Pregnancy massage, labor massage, postpartum massage and doula support services aid expectant mothers and families in this process of listening to their inner knowing, being in the moment, and trusting their body’s innate wisdom to do what it is designed to do.
My doula / massage credentials include: certified Pre & Perinatal Massage Therapist with Carole Osborne-Sheets, Body Therapy Associates, certified hypno doula with HypnoBabies, Dona trained doula, ABMP member, graduate of nationally recognized Body Therapy Institute, and NC License #5345.
I also hold a BA from High Point College in Sociology. My two children were both attended by midwives and doulas. My 8 year old son was born at the Women’s Birth and Wellness Center in Chapel Hill and my 4 year old daughter was born at home with a CPM. For the past 5 years, I’ve acted as a volunteer leader in a mother to mother breastfeeding support group and am now retiring to pursue my interest in birth.
